Park Jae Sang, known as PSY, is a Korean hip hop artist under YG Entertainment. He debuted in January 2001 with his full-length album titled
"PSY... From the Psycho World!", for which he later had to pay fine due to accusations saying that the album contains
"inappropriate contents". Since then PSY has become a controversial artist as his second album "Ssa 2" was even banned in 2002.
However, he gained much fans with his style of music, and also his satirical slant has won him many fans.
He is especially popular for his sense of humor and his unique concerts in which he imitates female singers such as Park Ji Yoon and Lee Hyori.
He received education in the United States at the Boston University and Berklee College of Music.
Oppa Ganganam Style
"Gangnam Style" on a relentless march to the top of the Hot 100, PSY's first, still-untitled U.S.
release has been fast-tracked for November. The song's official clip has racked up more than 500 million
views on YouTube as the song itself has sat secure at No. 2 on the Hot 100 for four weeks and registered 1.6 million downloads sold,
according to Nielsen SoundScan.
In the meantime, the American music industry has been left to make sense of the "Gangnam Style" phenomenon.
The song, first posted on YouTube on July 15, clocked the 1 billion milestone at 10:50 am EST (1550 GMT) and YouTube marked the occasion with a dancing Psy doodle next to their logo.

Psy to sing in Korean for new American album :-
Psy arrived back in Korea and held a press conference. He revealed,
“My future plan in America is to either release a new single, or release an album that includes a new single.
They told me the American music market moves a lot from Thanksgiving to Christmas, so they asked me to make an album for the end of November.
But it’s hard to finish an album by then. I’m looking over releasing my own songs.”
He reported that Universal Republic Records wanted him to keep singing in Korean. Psy expressed,
“I’m thankful. They said they don’t understand what it means, but that Korean is nice and full of flavor.
But we can’t just hurry through this process of making it because it’s my debut album, so we’re thinking of many styles.
I think the album will come out in mid or late November. The second single that will come out will probably be in English.”
He also hinted that he may have a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York.
“I went to a Korean club with Scooter Braun and Usher, and it came up because we were all in a good mood.
But Braun couldn’t remember that he said it the day after. In any case, we promised to have a concert even if it was accidentally announced.
But at the moment there aren’t any confirmed venues.”
Psy will have both Korean and American promotions at the same time. On November 11th, he will attend the MTV EMA‘s in Frankfurt, Germany.
